Highway 14 ramp closures at Kasson occur July 6

 

 

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists will encounter ramp closures on Highway 14 at the Kasson exit Friday, July 6, as crews pave the ramp shoulders.


The closures will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the westbound Highway 14 ramps, followed by the eastbound ramps.
                                        

All ramps will be open by 3:30 p.m.
                                          

The shoulder paving is part of the concrete pavement repair project on the Highway 14 eastbound and westbound lanes.


When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway. 


C.P.R. Inc. is the prime contractor for the $2.6 million project. This project was delayed due to the state government shutdown in July 2011.


The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
