Highway 14 construction from Winona to St. Charles begins July 9
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists can expect single-lane traffic on Highway 14 between Winona and St. Charles beginning Monday, July 9, as crews begin resurfacing the road.
Flaggers and a pilot car will control traffic throughout the project, which is scheduled to continue through October, weather permitting.
Traffic on Highway 14 near Lewiston also will use a detour beginning Monday, July 16, while crews replace culverts. The detour will be in effect for two weeks, weather permitting.

- Winona County Road 29
- Winona County Road 106
- Winona County Road 25
- Winona County Road 23
When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother road surface and a safer highway.
Dunn Blacktop, a division of Mathy Construction, is the prime contractor for the $7.5 million project.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
