Hwy 52 Elk Run Interchange public meeting set for March 13 in Pine Island
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public is invited to learn more about the Highway 52 Elk Run Interchange project at a public meeting Tuesday, March 13.
The open house is from 5-7 p.m., at the Pine Island High School cafeteria, 223 First Ave. SE, Pine Island, Minn.
A short presentation will occur at 6 p.m.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be available to answer questions and provide project information about the upcoming construction season, roundabouts and right-of-way acquisition schedule.
Major construction on the project began in spring 2011 and work will continue through fall 2013. Shafer Contracting Co. Inc. is the primary contractor for this $34.3 million project.
