I-90 rest area in Olmsted County closed Aug. 24-26
ROCHESTER, Minn. –The Marion Rest Area near Rochester will close beginning Wednesday, Aug. 24, while crews resurface Interstate 90 in that area.
The rest area will remain closed through Friday, Aug. 26.
The closure is part of the larger resurfacing project on westbound I-90 from Highway 63 to Olmsted County Road 19.
When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway with new guardrail.
Rochester Sand & Gravel is the prime contractor for the project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
