I-90 resurfacing in Olmsted County begins Aug. 8
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists can expect traffic delays on westbound Interstate 90 from Highway 63 to Olmsted County Road 19 beginning Monday, Aug. 8 as crews begin resurfacing the road.
The westbound I-90 exit and entrance ramps at Highway 63 will close temporarily. Motorists should follow the posted detour: Olmsted County Road 6 to Highway 63.
Flaggers will control traffic throughout the project, which is scheduled to continue through September, weather permitting.
When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway with new guardrail.
Rochester Sand & Gravel is the prime contractor for the project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
