Temporary lane closures on I-90 from Rushford to Houston begin May 16
I-90 ramp closure also in effect
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists can expect temporary lane closures on eastbound and westbound Interstate 90 from the Highway 43 south Rushford exit to the Highway 76 Houston exit beginning May 16, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The temporary lane closures will be in effect until May 24, and are necessary as crews work to prepare the westbound lanes for upcoming traffic switches.
The lane closures are part of a larger concrete resurfacing project on eastbound I-90, which will begin May 25, weather permitting.
The eastbound I-90 exit and entrance ramps at Highway 43 north in Winona will be closed to traffic beginning May 16 for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be completed in late August.
Motorists should follow the posted detour. The detour route is Winona County Road 12.
PCI Roads, LLC. is the prime contractor for the $8,667,467 construction project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
