Highway 76 construction in Houston, Winona counties begins Sept. 19
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists can expect single-lane traffic on Highway 76 in Houston and Winona counties between Interstate 90 and Houston starting Sept. 19, as crews begin resurfacing the road.
Flaggers will control traffic throughout the project, which is scheduled to continue through early November, weather permitting.
When the project is completed, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway with new guardrail.
Dunn Blacktop, a division of Mathy Construction, is the prime contractor for the project, which also includes the resurfacing of Highway 16 from Rushford to Houston.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
