Repairs to Highway 61 slopes begin June 1
Damages sustained during September 2010 floods
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists will encounter single lane traffic along Highway 61 between Lake City and Wabasha beginning Wednesday, June 1, as crews repair the roadway slopes damaged during the September 2010 floods.
Soil Nail Launcher, Inc., is the prime contractor for the repair project, which is scheduled to be completed in late June, weather permitting.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
