Highway 61 bridge replacement project in Wabasha County complete
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Highway 61 bridge replacement project over Gilbert Creek near Lake City is now complete, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The new bridge is wider and includes pedestrian facilities.
Crews built the bridge in phases to allow two-way traffic to be maintained throughout the project. MnDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this project.
Minnowa Construction, Inc. was the prime contractor for the $3.5 million project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
