Sewer line break to close section of westbound Highway 60 in Faribault Jan. 11
ROCHESTER, Minn. – A section of westbound Highway 60 in Faribault will close Tuesday, Jan. 11, as crews repair a sanitary sewer line, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Detour:
Motorists traveling west on Highway 60 will be redirected north on Shumway Avenue, west on Ravine Street and then back to Highway 60.
City of Faribault crews expect the repair to take one day. After repairs are complete, the area will be temporarily covered with a “winter mixture” of oil, rock and sand. Crews will permanently resurface the area in spring 2011.
Eastbound Highway 60 traffic through Faribault is not affected.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
