Highway 52 overnight lane closures near Pine Island begin Sept. 26
Expect delays during 15-minute road closures
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists will experience overnight lane closures and periodic road closures on Highway 52 near Pine Island Monday, Sept. 26, and Tuesday, Sept. 27, while crews place bridge beams for the new Elk Run Interchange.
Northbound Highway 52 at 120th Street will reduce to one lane at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 26, through 6 a.m. on Sept. 27. State Patrol troopers will stop northbound traffic for 15 minutes every hour beginning at 9 p.m.
Southbound Highway 52 at Olmsted County Road 31 will reduce to one lane at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 through 6 a.m. on Sept. 28. State Patrol troopers will stop southbound traffic for 15 minutes every hour beginning at 9 p.m.
Elk Run Interchange construction began in spring 2011 and will continue through November 2012. Shafer Contracting Co. Inc. is the prime contractor for this $34.3 million project.
