Elk Run Interchange construction begins April 18

 

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Work on the Elk Run Interchange project on Highway 52 in Olmsted County will begin Monday, April 18, weather permitting, as crews begin construction of the Oronoco west frontage road.
                                                          

The Oronoco west frontage road will be constructed from Olmsted County Road 12 to 12th Street Southwest.

Construction of the interchange is scheduled to begin in May with work anticipated to continue through November 2012. Shafer Contracting Co., Inc. is the primary contractor for this $34.3 million project.
