Lane, shoulder closures on Highway 52 through Pine Island to occur Jan. 24-28
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists will encounter intermittent lane and shoulder closures on northbound and southbound Highway 52 through Pine Island the week of Jan. 24, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The closures will occur between 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., weather permitting.
The work is part of preliminary construction activities for the Elk Run Interchange project. Major construction will begin in spring 2011 and work will continue through November 2012. Shafer Contracting Co., Inc. is the primary contractor for this $34.3 million project.
