Lane restriction on Highway 43 Mississippi River bridge in Winona begins Oct. 26
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists traveling on Highway 43 over the Mississippi River in Winona will encounter temporary lane closures and delays beginning Wednesday, Oct. 26, as crews install a scour monitoring system to the bridge piers.
The equipment needed to complete the installation requires a lane closure. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane controlled by flaggers from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both lanes will be open each evening after crews have completed their work.
The lane closure will remain in effect through Thursday, Oct. 27, weather permitting.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
