Highway 248 in Winona County opens to traffic
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists can now drive on all lanes of Highway 248 between Altura and Highway 61, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Highway 248 had been reduced to one lane and controlled by flaggers while crews resurfaced the highway.
The completed project provides motorists with a smoother ride surface and a safer highway with new guardrail.
MnDOT thanks motorists for their patience during the project.
Dunn Blacktop, a division of Mathy Construction was the prime contractor for the construction project.
