Highway 218 resurfacing in Mower County begins Aug. 8
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists can expect delays on Highway 218 between the Minnesota/Iowa border to Interstate 90 beginning Aug. 8 as crews begin resurfacing the road.
Flaggers will control traffic throughout the project, which is scheduled to continue through September, weather permitting.
When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway with new guardrail.
Ulland Brothers Inc., is the prime contractor for the project.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
