Work resumes on Highway 14 reconstruction in Steele County July 25
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Work will resume on the three-year reconstruction of Highway 14 from Waseca to Owatonna Monday, July 25, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The project was temporarily suspended during a 20-day state government shutdown.
When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway.
Mathiowetz Construction Co., Sleepy Eye, Minn., is the prime contractor for the project which also includes construction of a new interchange at Interstate 35 and Highway 14. The entire project is expected to be completed by June 2012.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
