Highway 14 nighttime lane closures in Winona
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Motorists will experience nighttime lane closures along Highway 14 in Winona beginning May 23, as crews conduct striping work at the corner of Cottonwood Drive and Highway 61/Highway 14.
The lanes will close at 8 p.m., May 23 and May 24, and reopen the following day at 6 a.m.
The striping work is part of the larger pedestrian ramp project.
The new ramps are part of MnDOT’s efforts to improve accessibility for pedestrians crossing state highways. Work also will include installation of accessible pedestrian signals that will feature sounds and vibrations to aid the blind and hearing impaired across the road safely.
TI-Zack Concrete Inc. is the contractor for the project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
