2011 Local Human Service Transit Coordination Plan available for review
Plan focuses on unmet transportation needs for specific groups
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Interested individuals can review and comment on the 2011 Local Human Service Transit Coordination Plan for southeastern Minnesota through Thursday, Dec. 22, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The plan is available at www.dot.state.mn.us/d6/coordinationplan.html. Those unable to access the internet can view a copy at MnDOT District 6 Headquarters, 2900 48th St. NW, Rochester, Minn.
This plan discusses transit in Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha and Winona counties.
The goal of the plan is to:
- Identify transportation needs for individuals with disabilities, older adults and people with low incomes
- Provide strategies for meeting those needs
- Prioritize transportation services for funding and implementation in southeastern Minnesota
