ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists can expect brief lane closures as crews conduct surface preservation and preventative maintenance on various highways in Dodge, Goodhue, Mower, Olmsted and Steele counties beginning Monday, May 23. Flaggers will control traffic during the lane closures.
Scott Construction Inc. is the prime contractor for the $1,424,424 project, which includes repair work on five highways:
- Highway 57 in Dodge and Goodhue counties
- Highway 56 in Mower County
- Highway 105 in Mower County
- Highway 30 in Olmsted County
- Highway 218 in Steele County
This pavement preservation project is scheduled to be completed by mid-July, weather permitting.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
