Guardrail installation scheduled in Fillmore, Houston and Wabasha counties
Expect temporary lane closures on area highways
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists can expect brief lane closures as crews install guardrail on various highways in Fillmore, Houston and Wabasha counties beginning Monday, April 11. Flaggers will control traffic during the lane closures.
Highway Technologies, Inc., is the prime contractor for the $262,152 project, which includes Highway 16 in Fillmore and Houston counties and Highway 42 in Wabasha County.
All guardrail installation is scheduled to be completed by early May, weather permitting.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
