Elk Run Interchange public meeting to be held Feb. 16 in Pine Island
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The public is invited to learn more about the Highway 52 Elk Run Interchange project at a public meeting Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., at the Pine Island High School cafeteria, 223 1st Ave. SE.
A short presentation will be given at 6 p.m.
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be available to answer questions and provide project information.
Design field activities have already begun, including geotechnical work and tree removal. Major construction on the project will begin in spring 2011 and work will continue through November 2012. Shafer Contracting Co., Inc. is the primary contractor for this $34.3 million project.
