Public invited to Highway 58 bridge grand opening ceremony in Zumbrota Sept. 17
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Community members interested in celebrating the opening of the Highway 58 bridge in Zumbrota are invited to a grand opening ceremony on Friday, Sept. 17.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on the south side of the bridge in the VFW parking lot. The program includes speeches from local dignitaries, a ribbon cutting and a hospitality table. A procession of community members will cross the bridge into Covered Bridge Park immediately after the speeches.
Staging for the procession will be in the VFW parking lot after the ceremony.
The Highway 58 bridge will open to general traffic at 11:30 a.m.
