The westbound Highway 14 entrance ramp to Interstate 35 near Owatonna will remain open this weekend
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The westbound Highway entrance ramp to northbound Interstate 35 will no longer be closed on weekends, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Due to flooding on local Owatonna streets along the ramp closure detour route, MnDOT crews have decided to keep the ramp open Sept. 24-26.
The weekend ramp closures were necessary during the past two months to reduce traffic back-ups on northbound I-35 during peak weekend travel times.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
