Highway 43 construction in Fillmore County begins Aug. 30

 

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists can expect single-lane traffic on Highway 43 between Highway 44 (Mabel) and Highway 16 (Rushford Village) when crews begin resurfacing the road on Monday, Aug. 30, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.


                                                   
Flaggers will control traffic throughout the project, which is scheduled to continue through September, weather permitting.

 

When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway with new guardrail. 

 

Dunn Blacktop Company, a division of Mathy Construction is the prime contractor for the $3 million project, which also includes the resurfacing of Highway 250 from Highway 16 to Highway 30.

 

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
