Highway 61 construction in Winona County begins July 12
ROCHESTER, Minn. — Motorists can expect daily lane closures on Highway 61 between Winona County Road 15 in Homer and Highway 14 in Winona when crews begin resurfacing the road on Monday, July 12, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway.
Dunn Blacktop, a division of Mathy Construction, is the prime contractor for the $2,717,606 construction project, expected to be complete in September, weather permitting.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
