Highway 60 construction from Waterville to Faribault begins August 9

Rochester, Minn. — Motorists can expect single-lane traffic on Highway 60 between Waterville and Faribault when crews begin resurfacing the road on Monday, August 9, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Flaggers will control traffic throughout the project, which is scheduled to continue through October, weather permitting.

When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway with two new right-turn lanes and a new bypass lane.

Crane Creek Asphalt, a division of Mathy Construction, is the prime contractor for the $3.5 million construction project.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
