Bridge painting requires lane closures on Highway 52 near Oronoco June 10-11
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists will experience single lane traffic on Highway 52 near Oronoco June 10 and 11 as crews paint sections of the Olmsted County Road 12 north overpass bridge over Highway 52, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Northbound and southbound traffic on Highway 52 will be reduced to a single lane, except during rush-hour traffic from 6:30-8 a.m. on southbound Highway 52 and from 3-6 p.m. on northbound Highway 52.
Crews will paint the Olmsted County Road 12 bridge railings and beams using lifts. The lane closures are necessary because of moving equipment and to avoid getting paint on passing cars.
The bridge painting is part of the warranty work for the Oronoco 52 project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
