Five design-build teams selected to vie for Highway 52 interchange project
ROCHESTER, Minn. —The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced today that the Request for Proposals for the Highway 52 “Elk Run” interchange was issued June 3.
During the contractor qualification process, MnDOT selected five teams to submit technical proposals for the project by Aug. 13 and financial proposals by Aug. 30. The teams are;
- C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc.
- Duininck, Inc.
- Hoffman Construction Company
- Peterson-Reily Constructors, LLC
- Shafer Contracting Co., Inc.
MnDOT will announce the design-build, best value team responsible for constructing the new interchange and frontage road system on Sept. 2, 2010. Construction will begin in fall 2010 and work will continue until 2012.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
