Highway 56 construction in Dodge County begins June 14
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists will encounter a detour on Highway 56 beginning Monday, June 14, as crews begin a concrete resurfacing project from Dodge County Road 34 to West Concord, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Detour route:
Dodge County Road 7 to Dodge County Road 24 and back to Highway 56.
Motorists will be able to access all businesses in West Concord for the duration of the project, scheduled to be complete at the end of July, weather permitting.
Concrete Foundations Inc. is the prime contractor for the $2.9 million project. When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface and a safer highway.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
