MnDOT to install new pedestrian signals at Highway 19, Highway 3 intersections in Northfield
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists and pedestrians will experience minimal traffic and sidewalk delays at both the north and south junctions of Highway 19 and Highway 3 in Northfield, as crews construct two accessible pedestrian signals, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Work will begin Wednesday, June 23, and is expected to take approximately two days, weather permitting.
These new signals are a part of MnDOT’s efforts to improve accessibility for pedestrians crossing state highways.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
