Eastbound Interstate 90 construction from Highway 43 to Highway 74 begins May 13
I-90 ramp closures also in effect



ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists can expect single lane traffic in both directions on Interstate 90 from Highway 43 south (Rushford exit) to Highway 74 (St. Charles exit), beginning Thursday, May 13, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.


The construction project on eastbound I-90 includes concrete resurfacing on the eastbound lanes and ramps.


The eastbound I-90 exit and entrance ramps at the Winona County Road 29 (Lewiston exit) will be closed to traffic beginning May 13 for the majority of the project, which is scheduled to be complete in late August. Motorists should follow the posted detour.

The Enterprise Rest Area will also be closed beginning May 13 for the majority of the project.


P.C.I Roads is the prime contractor for the $15,327,582 construction project. When the project is complete, motorists will experience a smoother ride surface.


The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
