Highway 13 construction in Freeborn County begins June 7
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists will encounter a detour on Highway 13 beginning Monday, June 7, as crews do culvert replacement work, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Detour route:
Freeborn County Road 14 to Freeborn County Road 20 to Freeborn County Road 31 and back to Highway 13
The detour will be in place until Friday, June 18, weather permitting.
The culvert replacement work is part of a larger resurfacing project on Highway 13 from
Interstate 90 to Highway 30. The resurfacing work will begin in August 2010.
Ulland Brothers, Inc. is the prime contractor for the $4 million project, expected to be completed in October.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
