Highway 43 bridge work in Choice begins May 24
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists will encounter single lane traffic on the Highway 43 bridge in Choice over the Root River beginning Monday afternoon, May 24, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Motorists should be prepared to stop for flaggers who will control traffic heading in both directions over the bridge.
The bridge is located approximately 12 miles south of Rushford.
Crews anticipate that all work will be completed during daytime working hours, but overnight closures may be required.
The work is expected to be complete by Thursday, May 27, weather permitting.
The work is needed because of a damaged floor beam. Crews will install stiffeners to strengthen the damaged beam.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
