Motorists need to temporarily find an alternate route into Dresbach beginning Thursday, May 20
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists bound for Dresbach from eastbound Interstate 90 will need to find an alternate route when exit #272 A closes temporarily beginning Thursday, May 20.
Eastbound motorists will need to take the Dakota exit (#270) and motorists on Highway 61 southbound will need to take the Dakota/I-90 westbound exit to get to Dresbach.
This traffic pattern will remain in effect until the bridges are completed in November.
The work is part of the I-90 bridge replacement project that resumed construction in April 2010. Both the closure and the new bridge will improve safety where Highway 61 and I-90 merge.
Lunda Construction Co. is the prime contractor for the $4.4 million I-90 bridge replacement project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
