April 27 MnDOT truck station open house includes Highway 14 update
Mankato, Minn. —Visitors to the Minnesota Department of Transportation open house in Waseca on Tuesday, April 27 will tour the new truck station and get the latest information on the Highway 14 four-lane expansion project.
The open house is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 1500 South State Street in Waseca near the Waseca County Shop.
Visitors will be able to meet and discuss transportation issues with both maintenance and construction staff. Information will be available on the progress of Highway 14 and a snowplow will be on display for kids of all ages.
The new truck station was built to replace the truck station that was removed to build the new alignment for a four-lane Highway 14 around Waseca. This will be the third construction season for the Waseca County portion of Highway 14. Highway 14 from Waseca County Road 2 to Highway 13 will be complete and open to traffic by November 2010. The four-lane expansion of Highway 14 to Interstate 35 in Waseca and Steele counties will be complete in 2012.
