Highway 52 inspection, repair work begins in Rochester April 15
ROCHESTER, Minn. —Motorists may experience slight delays and temporary lane closures when traveling on or near Highway 52 when yearly inspections begin April 15, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Between Thursday, April 15 and Monday, April 19, crews will be inspecting Highway 52 pavement and retaining walls, resulting in temporary lane closures on connecting frontage roads.
Motorists may also experience slight delays on Highway 52 entrance and exit ramps as crews conduct work there.
Between Tuesday, April 20 and Tuesday, April 27, there will be temporary lane closures on Highway 52, from 85th Street to the Highway 63 Interchange, as crews continue inspecting retaining walls and pavement.
From late April to Wednesday, June 30 there will be temporary lane closures on Highway 52 and connecting frontage roads, as crews repair areas that are identified during the inspection process.
Motorists may also experience slight delays on Highway 52 entrance and exit ramps as crews conduct work there.
All dates are weather permitting.
These inspections are part of the ROC 52 warranty work, which has taken place yearly since ROC 52 was completed.
The MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
