Highway 61 construction in Winona County complete
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Highway 61 construction project between Winona County Road 15 in Homer and Highway 14 in Winona is complete and motorists can now drive on both lanes of Highway 61, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Highway 61 was down to single-lane traffic, controlled by flaggers, while crews resurfaced the road.
The completed project provides motorists with a smoother ride surface and a safer highway.
MnDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this 11-week project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
