Highway 52 bridge project at Willow Creek and Olmsted County Road 1 wraps up for 2010; southbound lanes open
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The southbound lanes of Highway 52 at Willow Creek and Olmsted County Road 1 are now open to traffic, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The southbound lanes of Highway 52 had been closed since July while crews rehabilitated the bridge at Willow Creek southeast and resurfaced the bridge deck at Olmsted County Road 1. Traffic was moved to the northbound lanes and reduced to a single lane in each direction during that time.
MnDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this 14-week project.
The project is scheduled to resume in April 2011 for the northbound Highway 52 bridges and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2011.
Minnowa Construction, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $1,924,000 construction project.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
