Steering Committee meeting
The last Steering Committee meeting was held on January 15, 2013, from 3pm to 4:30pm at Wadena City Hall.
Public Involvement
An effective public participation program is critical to accomplish the goals of both the Comprehensive and Transportation Plan for the city of Wadena. As a part of this study, a steering committee was created to promote input and feedback from local stakeholders and MnDOT officials at key project milestones. Input and feedback from community members will be collected at a series of open house meetings, which will be held at strategic study milestones throughout the study.

Public Meetings
Open House and Public Hearing (Jan. 29, 2013)
The public is invited to an open house and hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 29, to review and provide input on the draft Wadena Comprehensive Plan, including its supporting transportation plan.
The open house will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Wadena City Hall Council Chambers, 222 Second St. SE. The Wadena Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing after the open house at 5:30 p.m.
The city of Wadena, working with Wadena County, the Minnesota Department of Transportation and an advisory committee, developed the draft plan to serve as a blueprint to guide development and transportation-related decision making.
Project partners encourage public comments relating to the proposed Wadena Comprehensive Plan.
A copy of the draft plan and its transportation elements can be viewed on online. The document is also available for review at Wadena City Hall.

- Survey Results
An electronic survey was conducted at the first open house meeting in order to gather feedback from community members. This survey presented a series of 50 questions that targeted specific concerns of Wadena residents. Additional surveys were distributed to Wadena residents via mail and directed to an additional online survey.
