Morris

The pedestrian accessibility portion of the project in downtown Morris is complete. New signals were activated July 14 and include flashing yellow arrows.

Key improvements:

  • New sidewalks on Highway 9/Atlantic Avenue, primarily between 5th Street and Highway 28/7th Street
  • Upgraded traffic signals with pedestrian pushbuttons and audible beacons at two intersections on Highway 9/Atlantic Avenue
  • Improvements to pedestrian ramps at the corners of several intersections along Highway 9/Atlantic Avenue and Highway 28/7th Street

Donnelly/Herman/Wendell

Pedestrian accessibility work is complete in Donnelly, Herman and Wendell.

Key improvements

  • Improvements to pedestrian ramps at the corners of several intersections along Highway 9 in Donnelly and Herman and Hwy 55 in Wendell
  • One block of new sidewalks on Hwy 55 in Wendell (from the three-way stop east along Hwy 55)

Paving (including culverts and turn lanes) - Completed

Hwy 9 (Herman to Morris and Doran to Hwy 55)

The Hwy 9 has been re-opened between Herman and Morris and between Doran and Hwy 55...

Key improvements

  • Resurfacing approximately 33 miles of Hwy 9 from Hwy 27 in Herman to South Street in Morris and from Doran to Hwy 55
  • Replace several culverts

Hwy 28

Work is complete.

Key improvements

  • Resurfacing and construct turn lanes on Hwy 28 from Hwy 9/Atlantic Avenue to Hwy 59 in Morris
  • Constructing a turn lane on Hwy 28 just east of Alberta

Hwy 55 (Wendell to Hwy 59)

Paving is expected to begin the week of July 13

Key improvements

  • Resurfacing approximately 5 miles of Hwy 55
  • Replace several culverts
