Study details
MnDOT is conducting a turnback study of Highway 7 between Beardsley and Ortonville. The study will assess the feasibility of transferring ownership of Highway 7 to local road authorities and transferring a portion of Big Stone County Road 6 to MnDOT.
As part of this effort, MnDOT will complete a highway rerouting analysis to evaluate and compare roadway ownership and routing options. The study will develop recommendations that balance costs, traffic operations, long-term maintenance responsibilities and jurisdictional considerations.
