Hwy 55 resurfacing project

In August 2019, the Minnesota Department of Transportation completed a resurfacing project on Highway 55 from Barrett to the Grant/Douglas County line. Originally, the bridge southeast of Barrett was to be replaced as part of the 2019 project. Due to de-watering issues during construction, the bridge work was suspended and re-bid to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
