MnDOT, City of Starbuck host open house to discuss 2020 road construction project

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — The public is invited to attend an open house to learn more about the 2020 construction project on Hwys 28, 29 and 114 in Starbuck. The event will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., at the Starbuck City Hall, 307 E Fifth Street.

The project is scheduled to begin in May 2020 and will include resurfacing and reconstruction of Hws 28, 29 and 114 in the city of Starbuck, as well as city utility replacement, sidewalk improvements and pedestrian accessibility upgrades.

Construction will be completed in stages to minimize local traffic and business impacts, and a truck route will be set up throughout the duration of construction. Starbuck residents and businesses are encouraged to attend the open house to learn more about the project and to share feedback with the project team.
