Open house on Feb. 6 for Highway 29 corridor study in Alexandria
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is hosting an open house on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m., to gather input for the future vision of the Highway 29 corridor in Alexandria. The event will be held at the Douglas County Public Works Building, 526 Willow Drive in Alexandria. A formal presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Highway 29 is an important roadway for residents in north Alexandria and also serves as the primary entry point on the north side of the city. The purpose of this study is to establish a vision for the corridor and to identify future roadway improvements to address safety and traffic issues on Highway 29, and better serve the area’s multi-modal transportation needs.
Everyone is welcome to attend the open house when convenient to provide input for the corridor study. Representatives of the project team will be available to discuss details and answer questions.
