Open house for Hwy 59 project in Detroit Lakes set for July 17
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — The public is invited to an open house to learn more about the 2018 road construction and resurfacing project on Hwy 59 from Willow Street in Detroit Lakes to just south of the Otter Tail County line. The event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, at the Minnesota Department of Transportation District 4 Headquarters, 1000 Hwy 10 West in Detroit Lakes.
The project will begin August 6 and sections of Hwy 59 will be closed in stages through the end of October. Traffic will be detoured to Becker County Road 6, County Road 22 and County Road 17.
Property owners who live along the project and detour routes are encouraged to attend the open house to learn more about the project and share feedback with MnDOT.
