Hwy 10, 59 traffic shift set for Oct. 27
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Traffic restrictions on Hwy 10 and Hwy 59 in Detroit Lakes will begin to ease starting Friday, Oct. 27, weather permitting.
Hwy 10 will shift from its current head-to-head configuration to a single lane on each side of the divided median.
Hwy 59 traffic will also return to its original layout.
Intermittent lane closures and lane shifts will continue through mid-November as crews install a new signal system, construct concrete medians and complete other finishing work.
This summer, crews replaced the eastbound Hwy 10 bridge over the CP Railway line and resurfaced Hwy 10 between Hwy 59 and Summit Avenue.
The work resulted in a smoother roadway and new, safer bridge over the railroad line.
