Resurfacing Hwy 27, I-94 interchange area near Alexandria begins June 6
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Motorists on Highway 27 and the adjacent Interstate 94 interchange near Alexandria may encounter significant delays and congestion when the resurfacing portion of the Highway 27 project begins Tuesday, June 6.
Crews will pave Highway 27 from the east end of the interchange to about one mile west of the interchange.
Motorists will encounter flaggers directing traffic around the work zone. At times, traffic will be held in place while crews pave ramps and entrances.
While all roads will remain open, the Minnesota Department of Transportation strongly recommends drivers use the I-94/Highway 29 interchange to avoid significant delays.
This phase of the project is expected to last up to one week.
