Tree removal along Hwy 113 begins June 19
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Motorists on Highway 113 east of Waubun will encounter intermittent lane closures starting Monday, June 19, when a tree removal project begins.
Crews will remove trees in 10 different locations on the south side of the highway between milepost 25 near McCraney Lake and milepost 49. The safety project will reduce shading on the highway, which will help reduce ice buildup in the winter.
All the trees are located within the state highway right of way.
Carr’s Tree Service of Ottertail will perform the work. The contractor will be responsible for cutting, removing and disposing of the trees. The project is expected to last about two weeks.
