Crack seal project in west central Minnesota begins March 27
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Motorists on three highways in west central Minnesota may encounter minor delays when a crack sealing project begins Monday, March 27, weather permitting.
The work will occur during daylight hours on Highway 7 between Beardsley and Ortonville, Highway 9 between Benson and Sunburg, and Highway 29 between Alexandria and Parkers Prairie.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction where crews are working. Motorists should slow down and follow the direction of flaggers.
Crews will work as weather and schedule allow over the next three to four weeks.
ASTECH of St. Joseph is the contractor for the $380,000 project.
Crack sealing is a preventive maintenance tool that helps extend the life of the road surface.
